Reporting POACHING/BREAKING AND ENTERING

A Guide for Anglers Reporting Offences to the Police

Peterlee Constabulary have in possession their own keys to access the grounds of  Old Shotton Hall and the pond 24/7. For all incidences of poaching, breaking & entering, anti-social behaviour please do not delay - call them immediately!

Peterlee Constabulary also randomly patrol the grounds and pond area and managed to catch numerous individuals in 2023.

Angling Trust bailiffs will be focussing more on Shotton Hall Angling Club in 2024.

We also offer formal volunteer Angling Trust bailiff training to all our members. I encourage everyone to take this up; It is also free of charge to you.

2024 will see a big step-up in the fight against illegal fishing/poaching.

All Shotton Hall Angling Club members must be in possession of their club membership AND an in-date Environment Agency Rod License.
